Rock pooling has rules — mostly about leaving things as you found them. These are the Tide Pool rules. By peering into the shallows, you agree to observe them.
What the pool is
Tide Pool is a free, browser-based memory card game. Turn over tiles, match intertidal creature pairs, and fill your discovery notebook. No payment. No account.
Open shores
Rock poolers of every age are welcome. Tide Pool is non-violent, gambling-free, and suitable for families and young explorers.
Find score
Points accumulate per matched pair, with a wave multiplier for consecutive successes. Find scores are session-local and carry no real-world value.
No bets on the tide
Tide Pool has no in-game currency, no loot systems, no randomised prize mechanics, and no wagering of any kind.
Creative ownership
All game assets — shoreline design, code, creature illustrations — belong to their creators. Personal play is freely permitted. Commercial use or redistribution requires written permission.
Leave it as you found it
Automated bots, exploit tools, and intentional disruption of the platform are prohibited. Leave the pool as you found it.
No tide guarantee
Tide Pool is provided as-is. We accept no liability for indirect harm arising from service interruption or gameplay.
Agreement updates
These terms may be revised. The date will change when they are. Continued play is acceptance.
